Jim Kurszewski specializes in the areas of family law, criminal defense and trial work. Jim’s been practicing in Wisconsin since 1997, after graduating from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, NE. His family law practice focuses on helping his clients deal with divorce and related custody, placement and financial issues, and he prides himself on helping them fully understand the complex legal process, during what is often a troubling and confusing time for the entire family. He is also fully versed in misdemeanor and felony criminal and OWI defense, with a focus on achieving the best possible result for his client. Jim practices in many counties around the state, with a focus on the central Wisconsin area, including Marathon, Portage, Wood, and Lincoln counties. He has also done work in estate planning, probate and real estate law. Jim was born and raised in Wausau, where much of his family still resides, and is a graduate of Wausau West High School and the proud parent of twin girls. Jim is a member of the Marathon and Portage County Bar Associations, the Wisconsin State Bar and the Wausau Noon Optimists.
